Machu Picchu – Peru

The adventure of Machu Picchu is one of those things that you can’t explain, you just have to experience it yourself.

Our adventure started with a four days long hike, ending in Machu Picchu. We fought our way up to Dead Woman’s Pass (4200 m in altitude) and climbed A LOT of stars to finally, on the fourth day, reached our goal. We woke up really early to get ready to hike the last part before climbing up to “Sun gate” and then lay our eyes on this beautiful strange thing. It is not usual that you can see Machu Picchu from the gate, at this time in the morning (because of the clouds) but we where that lucky.

There are of course other ways to get to Machu Picchu, most of the visitors comes with the train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes and then go by bus the last part from there. But I would really recommend everyone to do the hike!

G Adventures organised our hike and our tour in Machu Picchu and they were amazing!!
